Today, we walked the Strand and beyond. I’m always struck by the amazing architecture here. The strength, the beauty, and the history all amaze me. This building, formerly the home of the Galveston Daily News, stands today despite the many storms that have tried to destroy it.
I could share all of the history from my Google search, or you can just Google it yourself. I’m not an historian. I just like pretty architecture and I’m glad this building survived the storm of 1900, and all of the ones that have followed on its coat tails.
It’s a beautiful building, like so many others in Galveston, and I loved standing in its glory today.
